My Approach to Helping
Contacting a therapist often feels like a huge leap. Once you take that leap, I provide a safe and supportive space in which I listen to your unique story and together we come to understand when you feel overwhelmed and stuck, as well as excited and motivated. I offer my observations and challenge your ways of thinking that limit you, while also encouraging you to honor your inner wisdom. The goal is for you to experience greater self-awareness, confidence, and joy so you can make choices that enable you to move forward in health and balance.
My additional training and work as a childbirth educator and birth doula give me a unique perspective in helping women and couples deal with challenges related to pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting, including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). I also help women explore issues at other transitional life stages, including self-esteem, self-confidence, anxiety, depression, education and career choices, and relationship difficulties.
