My Approach to Helping
I am dedicated to integrating my skills, intuition and experience in supporting and facilitating a personal healing journey with my clients. Having the courage to look at how we self-sabotage often requires the presence of a mentor or advocate; the process can seem to threaten our very identity at first In doing so, we discover empowerment in our lives, access to choices, joy and authenticity. Through the process, we heal emotional scars that have subliminally fed our unconscious choices and contributed to the repeated patterns that have kept us from being who we truly want to be.
More Info About My Practice
I am a BCBS preferred provider in Illinois with offices in Northbrook and Chicago. I see clients in LA and Palm Springs on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, with phone/Skype options in between. If I am not available to work with you at the time you contact me, I will still talk with you about what your issues and needs are and give you personal referrals. My office in Northbrook offers two free community sessions for Meditation/Stress-Reduction and Heart-Centered Support twice monthly. I am also a certified Lifeline practitioner.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
The Recovery Model combined with Energy medicine and Integrative Psychotherapy are my passions. I don't believe that "talk therapy" alone is adequate for most of us. Learning to listen to and honor the body and the energy that IS the body are amazing tools that will supplement our cognitive processes. Finding ways to balance action and vision is also a key challenge for most of us - being both practical and inspired at the same time. Sobriety - of mind, body and spirit - isn't about austerity. It's about being in the optimal condition to get the most out of life. Getting there isn't as grueling as most people think. The formulae, once you discover them, are simple.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
A trusted and skilled mentor guides, teaches encourages and leads one through an unfolding self-healing process, where we move beyond the self-limiting thoughts, beliefs, emotional scars and behavior patterns that have been our unconscious prisons.
