My Approach to Helping
Congratulations on taking steps toward your well-being. Seeking help can be scary, and many find it easier to adapt to unpleasant circumstances in hopes that things will change by themselves.
We can spend most of our lives sweeping uncomfortable feelings under the rug, until one day the rug just won't lay flat anymore and we begin tripping over it.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, a difficult relationship, or a life-threatening illness, my goal is to offer you a safe, supportive and compassionate environment to explore your innermost feelings, which will enable you to begin living a more resilient and authentic life.
When uncomfortable feelings and perceptions are no longer cut off from awareness and instead are acknowledged and expressed, a release takes place and you begin living a more authentic life.I work with clients who need support processing issues around low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, grief, life-work balance, transitions, sexual abuse or assault and other traumas like car accidents, surgeries and physical abuse. My approach to helping people is to pair healing past hurts with implementing new coping skills. I teach how to create new habits and maintain them. EFT, EMDR, Art Therapy, CBT and re-framing are some modalities we use in session if clients are willing and interested.
