My Approach to Helping
Congratulations on taking steps toward improving your well-being. Seeking help can be scary, and many find it easier to adapt to unpleasant circumstances in hopes that things will change by themselves.
We can spend most of our lives sweeping uncomfortable feelings under the rug, until one day the rug just won't lay flat anymore and we begin tripping over it.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, a difficult relationship, or a life-threatening illness, my goal is to offer you a safe, supportive and compassionate environment to explore your thought and feelings. Self-awareness is the start of it all.
I work with clients who need support processing issues around low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, grief, life-work balance, transitions, sexual abuse or assault and other traumas like car accidents, surgeries and physical abuse. My approach to helping people is to pair healing past hurts with implementing new coping skills. I teach how to create new habits and maintain them.
