My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience in counseling couples, college students, graduate students, and young professionals. I received my Master\'s degree in Counseling from St. Edward\'s University and my Bachelor\'s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University-College Station.
Throughout my training I have worked with a variety of populations and mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, self esteem, relationship issues, and relationship buildingenrichment.
My therapeutic approach values a strong therapeutic relationship. I use a collaborative approach that is influenced most by Interpersonal Neurobiology, the work from the \"Daring Way\" by Brene Brown, Trauma Informed Care, Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I believe in creating a safe, warm, and non-judgmental environment that can facilitate the healing process. I believe that therapy is a unique journey for each individual, couple, or family and I hope to \"walk\" with you on the journey towards new possibilities. You are welcome to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation with me.
