My Approach to Helping
Anxiety, anger, and stress can be overwhelming. Becoming irritable, feeling as if you are ‘snapping’, problems sleeping, worrying and overthinking, just a few of the symptoms that you may be living with causing you to feel hopeless and ‘stuck’. Stress and anxiety may have gotten to the point that you don’t even feel like yourself anymore. You may have even experienced a panic attack with no idea what led to it. You may be stuck in a cycle of lashing out at those closest to you and then feeling guilty, only making the anxiety worse.
I want to help you find peace again, and it is possible. Anxiety is a response from our brain meant to protect us against danger. In my work with you, I want to help you learn and process what your personal triggers are and work to redefine what your brain sees as a threatening situation. I am trained in EMDR to treat trauma. I provide ERP for OCD behaviors.
It is possible to find peace and joy again. It is possible to face everyday stressors without feeling the anxiety rising, to have a disagreement with a loved one without feeling your irritability become out of control.
