My Approach to Helping

Offering ONLINE sessions during the weekdays, weekend, and evenings for all North Carolina residents. Is being a new mom different than you expected and no one seems to understand how you feel, even your partner? You're sleep deprived, still getting to know your baby, and everyone is giving you advice about how to be a mom. You keep hearing that it will get easier, but it doesn't. Is your relationship not going the way you imagined? Does your past keep creeping up on you no matter how hard you try to put it behind you? Are you always feeling on edge and want to calm down, but don't know how? Do you keep trying to do everything perfectly, but constantly feel like you're getting it all wrong? If any of this sounds like you, just know you are not alone and you CAN FEEL BETTER.

If you find yourself worrying all the time, if your social and romantic life isn't going the way you expected, if you're feeling sad or anxious after giving birth or while pregnant, are having scary thoughts, if you're feeling lonely and isolated being a new mother, let Well Roots Counseling be there for you. I help women, mothers, and college students feel like they can get control of their lives again.

With online counseling options, it's easy to speak to your therapist. There's no stress of having to get to the office. All you do is turn on the computer and talk with your counselor from the comfort of your own home. So reach out today and let Well Roots Counseling be there for you while you take the journey to "grow from the roots up."

More Info About My Practice

Well Roots Counseling knows how hard it can be to find someone you trust to watch your sweet little baby. Even if you bring your little one to therapy, you still have to prepare the baby bag and possibly interrupt your baby's schedule. All these barriers make therapy seem like something you don't have time for. This is why online counseling allows you to keep your sweet little baby at home with you while you relax on the couch and speak to your therapist when it's convenient for you. It removes all the stress and allows you to focus on you.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Well Roots Counseling works with those struggling with excessive worry, perfectionism, relationship issues, and those who are feeling out of control in their lives. I help new mothers understand why they've been feeling the way they have been and that it's not "just hormones" after giving birth. I help new and pregnant mothers let go of the guilt they're experiencing, learn how to lessen the sadness, anxiety and negative thoughts, reach out to those who are supportive, and learn to embrace motherhood with self compassion and joy.
