Perhaps you are exhausted and worn out from spending so much time wishing things were different. Wishing you didn't feel anxious. Wishing you didn't feel depressed. Wishing you had the energy to make even the smallest change. You may have convinced yourself it's easier to stay right where you are, even if you're unhappy, hoping things get better on their own. But continuing to do things the way you've always done them will most likely get you the same results you've always gotten.

Right now, as you read this, you are taking that first step toward creating the life you desire. I am here to help you sort through and make sense of the overwhelming tangle of unhelpful thoughts, scary feelings, and out-dated beliefs that are standing between you and the life you dream of.

My Therapy Focus

What will our time together look like? Some of it will look like you most likely imagine: we'll sit -- you in your chair, me in mine-- and begin together to untangle and bring clarity to the things that matter the most to you.

Other parts of our session may be more unexpected. For example, if I want to learn how to paint, I could read a variety of books and talk to a number of painters I admire, but until I pick up a brush and experience painting, it won't mean much. Therefore, as we work together, we may shift our attention away from your brain and toward the emotions and patterns of behavior that feel stuck in the body. There are a lot of ways we can do this, including guided imagery and gentle body movement.
