My Approach to Helping

Are you struggling with relationships? Do you suffer from deep anxiety or depression? Do you feel stuck? Through the facilitation and guidance I offer coupled with the therapeutic process, we can work together to create change. I utilize a highly relational, holistic & integrative lens to help you advance toward an experience that aligns with desired outcomes for your life, often through the use of attachment, IFS and person-centered approaches. Further, I am neurobiology informed and believe in incorporating both the brain and body in counseling. My areas of focus include generalized anxiety & depression, relationships & trauma.

When it comes to my therapeutic approach, I receive ongoing training & learning rooted in interpersonal neurobiology. Additionally, I utilize mindfulness and compassion techniques; movement that encourages you to get back into your body; & a look into relevant information on sociology & conditioning particular to women's issues and family dynamics that inform our attachment patterns.
I work from a place of deep curiosity and compassion to create an invitation for healing and growth, without fixed ideas about where we must go or how we must get there. Therapy begins with our collaboration to create a space where you feel heard gently held without judgment.

Additionally, I work from a place of deep curiosity and compassion to create an invitation for healing and growth, without fixed ideas about where we must go or how we must get there. Groups I Work With

    Adult Individuals:
I offer individual counseling for adults who struggle with a range of issues, such as: generalized depression or anxiety; relationship, whether that concerns the relationship they have with themselves or their relationships with others; life transitions; and trauma. As a therapist, I serve as a companion on your journey; someone who walks alongside you in curiosity, offering insight and information where I see it may serve you. As I've mentioned; my approach is holistic, which I believe best caters to the complexities of being human. In session, I often utilize mindfulness and meditation techniques, compassion practices, and interventions anchored in research and neuroscience.

Over the last ten years, I've spent much of my time working with teens in various capacities, from teaching to counseling.
With a background in teaching & working in various positions of leadership for teens, I aim to provide support for teens where they feel seen, heard, and valued. Being a teenager is a beautiful phase of life that begs self-exploration, full of opportunity to know the self deeper. That said, it can also be a time of struggle, where self-love and worthiness is often challenged by: the external environment; the struggle for a deeper level of autonomy that can come into conflict with the limited freedom often felt; and the stress that comes with navigating relationships, whether that be with family members, friends, or romantic partners.

As a therapist, I work alongside my teen clients as they navigate through the triumphs and tribulations of becoming. While the teen clients I work with are my priority, I also aim to serve their parents or caretakers so that they feel supported as well.
