Would you feel comfortable talking to a friend about your problems? Do you have a friend who is a great listener and knows the right things to say to motivate you and help you feel better about yourself? If you answered "no" to either of those questions, then you should consider meeting with a professional who is well trained, caring and compassionate. I work with adults who are having anxiety, depression, work issues, loss, overwhelming stress and/or relationship issues. I offer clients a feeling of acceptance that allows them to explore who they are and grow to reach their potential. I also work with couples who are arguing a lot, need work on their communication and partnership skills, have experienced marital infidelity and/or have grown apart emotionally and sexually. Divorce or breakups may be prevented if both partners come to several counseling sessions to improve the relationship and learn new skills of interaction. I also work with children and adolescents who have school and peer issues as well as behavior issues. Come in to learn parenting skills or help your child/adolescent relate more successfully with others.

What's the most hurtful feelings you can have? Loss, grief, rejection, betrayal, abandonment, isolation, loneliness, sadness, anger. What do all these emotions have in common ---- other people. People need other people. When relationships end, fail to progress, are problematic or are non-existent, we suffer. On the other hand, nothing is more powerful than feeling close to someone special, or having the ability to influence people. Self esteem suffers when we do not feel understood or consequential to others. Many times when I ask a client what's the ending to their perfect day, they mention coming home to a loved one. I am skilled at helping people find relationships, enhance them, perfect them, and grow as a result. Sometimes the best thing to do with a relationship is to walk away and let it go. These are difficult decisions to make. I can help you explore this option. Or, we will work together to help you find the relationship you want.
