My Approach to Helping
My approach to therapy begins with developing a relationship based on trust and respect, where we work together to set goals, solve real-life problems, and overcome negative ways of thinking. It is my belief that we have within each of us the ability to learn new ways of coping and behaving that will ultimately improve our ability to make decisions and to function more effectively within our environment and with those around us. As your therapist, I will guide you through a process of self-exploration and self-understanding with the intention of leading you to take action and make changes in your life that you desire. To guide the therapeutic process, I use scientifically supported interventions that have been shown to address the issues you struggle with.
