My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy begins with developing a relationship based on trust and respect, where we work together to set goals, solve real-life problems, and overcome negative ways of thinking. It is my belief that we have within each of us the ability to learn new ways of coping and behaving that will ultimately improve our ability to make decisions and to function more effectively within our environment and with those around us. As your therapist, I will guide you through a process of self-exploration and self-understanding with the intention of leading you to take action and make changes in your life that you desire. To guide the therapeutic process, I use scientifically supported interventions that have been shown to address the issues you struggle with. Given the opportunity, I would be honored to work with you in beginning the process of healing and moving you toward a more meaningful and valued life.

More Info About My Practice

Throughout my career, I have enjoyed working in a variety of health-related fields. My educational background is in biology and psychology. I am currently working toward my Ph. D. in Clinical Psychophysiology, a specialized area within neuroscience that seeks to understand how a person's mental state and physiological responses interact to affect one another. As a psychophysiologists, I use various non-invasive methods to help my clients better understand their behavior and cognition to improve the quality of their lives and their health and well-being. To help you learn how to manage your physiology, I use a combination of BiofeedbackNeurofeedback and brain-stimulating devices as a non-medicative way to treat ADHD, Anxiety (including performance anxiety), Depression, and Memory issues, to name a few.
