My Approach to Helping
In a world that spins faster everyday, sometimes we need help slowing down. Maybe you feel frustrated, overwhelmed, alone - even ashamed at the thought of burdening others as you encounter old patterns & new problems alike. Perhaps you're skeptical about therapy or believe your problems aren't legitimate. You may have concrete issues you wish to tackle, or maybe you'd like to do some healthy exploration of your identity and overall needs. Whether your emotional pain is recent or distant, your thoughts and feelings are welcome when we sit down together. My available services include both therapy and psychological testing.
I take a collaborative, developmental approach to therapy. This means that I am interested in all parts of your past and present. Your upbringing, race, gender, relationships, spirituality, and worldviews all play an important role in how you think, feel, and heal. This also means that I will challenge you with direct questions & share honest feedback.
We'll use creativity and authenticity to explore the underlying themes and needs of your life, all while uncovering ways in which you may be inadvertently keeping yourself stuck. With this at the core of our work, we will set goals and address your emotional pain as a team.
