My Approach to Helping
There are moments in life when we come across a need for deeper reflection, support in facing the unexpected, or normal transition periods that feel difficult to cope with. Therapy is an amazing tool to increase self-awareness, personal growth and improve our relationships with others. As a therapist, I am there to offer guidance and support through these moments in life that are challenging. I work from a trauma-informed perspective, working to create a therapeutic environment that is non-judgmental, where the client feels seen, understood, and heard. My therapeutic style is a blend of psychodynamic, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. As a cis woman of color, I also like to support clients to discover how systemic and cultural factors contribute to our mental health.
