My Approach to Helping
Be. Here. NOW. That’s been my personal mantra over the last few years and one of the hardest things I’ve ever tried to do. It is Here & NOW, however, where we can make changes and appreciate the fullness of our experiences. Unfortunately, that means having feelings we don’t like, which can be uncomfortable. But I believe it is only through experiencing these feelings we can learn to be psychologically flexible and grow as individuals.
My ultimate goal is to help reduce your suffering and improve the quality of your life, no matter what you’re going through. I want to provide a safe space where you can focus on what’s most important to you. I know your life can change Here & NOW if you practice the skills you learn in our time together because I’ve done it myself. Your resilience & internal strength will help make it possible.
Using a combination of techniques rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Empowerment Theory, over the course of up to 12 sessions, you’ll learn how to live in the Here & NOW and practice behavioral skills focused on your values. Change is hard but it’s only through being present for ourselves that we can find meaning in our struggles and lead a values-driven life.
