My Approach to Helping
Draper A. Buchanan is a supervising Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. He has been licensed for over ten years and has successfully impacted the lives of several children, adolescents, and adults by providing holistic and effective counseling services.
Mr. Buchanan has received training in trauma and abuse (TF-CBT workshops), co-occurring disorders, mindfulness, crisis interventionstabilization, and verbal de-escalation. During his tenure as a Counselor, Draper has had the opportunity to work in various treatment settings and with individuals from several socioeconomic backgrounds. Currently, Draper assists frontline workers and others impacted by COVID-19 by providing intensive counseling services.
Draper’s primary theoretical orientation is an integrated composite of person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused brief therapy, and reality therapy. He also fuses his years of behavioral health training and spiritual background into individual, family, group, and couples therapy sessions. Mr. Buchanan strives for client-centered and integrated clinical approaches maintaining the highest quality of care.
