My Approach to Helping
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey. My theoretical approach is integrative as I combine aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, and a humanistic approach in order to treat my clients. I believe that clients should be an active part of treatment from start to finish as you are the expert on your life. Therefore, I like to personalize treatment for each individual.
As your therapist I will take into account environmental factors that impact the therapeutic process, assist clients in reducing negative thoughts and maladaptive behaviors, and help clients learn to control their emotional responses to various stimuli and factors that cause psychological distress. My goal is to promote wellness and wholeness within various aspects of a client’s life.
I have worked with a diverse clientele from various social and cultural backgrounds. I have treated families, women, men, children, and adolescents. I address concerns such as, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, transitional issues, trauma, mindfulness, family concerns, conflict resolution, creating boundaries, and communication.
