My Approach to Helping
I understand that coming to therapy can be uncomfortable and unpleasent. I am empathic and thrive to help my clients feel understood and heard. After twenty years as a classroom teacher, I decided to focus on my passion for counseling. I love what I do, and I look forward to assisting individuals in finding meaning and purpose in life. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice located in Houston, Texas I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston, a Master of Arts in Education from Abilene Christian University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from LeTourneau University. I employ a variety of widely researched and effective therapeutic approaches to achieve success in our work together. I enjoy helping clients free themselves from unhealthy patterns and habits, make healthy choices, learn new skills, and make lasting life changes. I am constantly seeking opportunities to develop my clinical skills through advanced training seminars.
I offer counseling in a private practice for individuals dealing with issues of trauma, mood disorders, low self-esteem, anxiety disorders, grief, family conflicts, parenting, marriage problems, anger, and addictions. Men, women, adults, elderly, family, and couples are welcome to receive counseling.
