My Approach to Helping
I find purpose in helping my clients work through and recover from life’s difficult and painful parts- the ruptured relationships, tragedies, illnesses, mistakes, failures, regrets, traumas, interpersonal conflicts, disappointments, fears, hopes, and dreams. I encourage my clients to explore, endure, recover, grow through, experience, and make meaning from suffering.
I am a doctor of clinical social work, a licensed clinical social worker, a level 1 AEDP therapist, and a certified sex therapist who has 12 years experience working with adults experiencing addictions, relationship conflict, cancer, depression, grief, anxiety, codependency, dysfunctional family dynamics, and existential crises.
I value exploring early family relationships, the origin of core beliefs and emotions, and how to move toward creating healthier connections with self and others, resolution of emotional traumas, and greater peace of mind and acceptance. When requested, I offer psychotherapy to those who desire therapy through a Christian Biblical framework and worldview. I work with people of all faiths or no faith at all. All are welcome in my practice. No matter what.
