My Approach to Helping
I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience in treating children and families, adolescents, and adults. I have a warm, caring approach to assessment and treatment with one core goal, to produce substantial and enduring changes in behavior, thoughts, and mood.
Our thinking is the result of our own perception, judgment, experience, and bias.
I use a psychosocial approach to treatment. This approach emphasizes the significance of both psychological and social problems in interaction with health and other needs all of which are important when making an assessment and offering help. Therapy is guided by a tailored treatment plan for each individual'scouples unique needs.
Mental illness is not something to be ashamed of. It is important to dispel the myths and to teach the truths concerning mental illness, whether it's depression, ADHD, anxiety or schizophrenia. It shows strength and bravery to make the call to get the help you need. I look forward to working with you for a healthier future.
