My Approach to Helping
I believe the client-therapist relationship and connection is the most vital piece to success in therapy. Therapy may be the first time you feel accepted and safe, and motivated to make a change. Each client has their own set of tools and strengths that have worked in their lives. I am here to help empower you and build upon those strengths. I provide space to process life's day-to-day situations while listening empathetically. Understanding that each client is unique, I have a very individualized approach to therapy and tailor treatments based on the client's needs and wants. You are the expert of your life and I am here to help guide you towards a healthier and more satisfying way of living.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Going to therapy can bring up anxious feelings or is uncomfortable. It requires a lot of strength to consider going to therapy and possibly focus on yourself for the first time. I would be glad to speak with you on the phone about any questions or concerns and familiarize you with the process of therapy.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
It is recommended to have a 50-minute session every week. Consistency is especially important in the beginning of therapy to set the frame for therapy and build the relationship. As always, therapy is voluntary and if you feel it is no longer necessary or we are not a good fit, you are able to terminate at any time. I will also adjust treatment plans accordingly if the current interventions are not effective. During maintenance phases of therapy, sessions may taper down to every other week or once a month, based on your needs.
