My Approach to Helping
Working through an empathetic framework, I support clients in building resiliency to manage their concerns which may include depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, and life transitions. Strongly advocating the individual’s ability to make powerful changes in their own life, I believe my role is to provide guidance when situations can feel overwhelming or unmanageable. My aim is to assist you in identifying self-limiting patterns, strengths, and goals to promote well-being. Through collaboration with clients, my approach combines in-depth discussion, skill development, and active application of positive behaviours.
I provide a client-centered approach, and use various modalities including cognitive-behavioural, narrative, and mindfulness-based therapies. Understanding the role of our societal positions and circumstances, I offer a culturally sensitive lens to meet the needs of clients.
