My Approach to Helping
Getting through daily life comes with challenges. But you don't have to accept things as they are, and you don't have to struggle alone. Sometimes you might need help along the way. I would like to offer you that help in a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard, supported, and understood.
I am passionate about helping people rediscover their strengths, resources, talents, abilities, and desires in life. As a Solution-Focused therapist, I truly enjoy helping people to find hope again, and to imagine the possibilities in their lives, rather than focusing solely on what is wrong or what didn't work before.
I specialize in working with couples—both LGBTQ and non-LGBTQ—in overcoming roadblocks to communication and barriers to happiness. I also work with people struggling with general anxiety, stress management, over-achievement issues, life transitions, substance issues, and co-dependency. In our work together, you are in the driver's seat—you decide your goals for therapy. Together we can explore where you'd like to go, and how you'd like to get there. My hope is that you can experience a more fulfilling life path, one filled with more happiness, more satisfying relationships, and greater understanding about yourself and others in your world.
