My Approach to Helping
Psychotherapy comes in many forms. It builds upon a unique relationship, and adapts to your needs, values, concerns, and strengths.
You might feel stuck. Perhaps you repeat painful patterns in your relationship with others and with yourself. Maybe you wish to make changes, but you do not know how. Perhaps you’re struggling with creativity, or facing a major loss or transition. You might be struggling with the aftermath of childhood abuse or a sexual assault. Maybe your old coping skills just don’t work anymore.
I can help. I meet you where you are, drawing upon my clinical skills and life experience. I deeply and compassionately listen, in an environment of acceptance and creative growth. Together we draw on the power an accepting, safe therapeutic relationship offers. I support your growth into wholeness.
Our collaborative work incorporates your body, mind, spirit, and heart. We draw inspiration from dreams, imagination, images, sensations, stories, and intuition. Outcomes vary. Psychotherapy offers no guarantees, but many positive benefits. You may be better equipped to identify your needs in your relationships, and feel more empowered to communicate openly and create necessary boundaries. You may learn when to be vulnerable and ask for help. You may trust, love, and accept yourself more. You might devise and implement self-care strategies.
