My Approach to Helping

My therapeutic approach is kind, compassionate and collaborative. I enjoy working with adults, couples and teens. I have extensive experience with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders and body image issues. In addition to individual therapy with adults and teens, I offer DBT groups and individual DBT skills training. Santa Barbara has been my home for over 30 years and I bring years of clinical and life experience to our work together. Always respectful of your unique experience in life, my goal is to help you explore the areas of your life that are creating challenges for you. Working with teens and adolescents is a specialty. I offer DBT groups and individual DBT skills training. I enjoy working with those seeking pre-marriage counseling and building skills for a successful relationship and marriage. Transitions, phase of life, coming of age in a complex world are areas of expertise. I work with those who are grieving life’s losses, experiencing sorrow including the death of a loved one.
