As a creative art therapist and depth-oriented Psychotherapist, I am blessed to be living my life purpose of connecting with others authentically. I am passionate about the field of Art Therapy, touching into the art image for healing and growth. A lightbulb went off for me in my first Art Therapy class. I was hooked and knew this was the venue through which I wanted to serve. Creativity and Art Therapy and Image making are powerful, allowing one to see past one's everyday life challenges, to explore one's core issues. An image leaves a lasting impression - once seen, cannot be unseen. I assist individuals to tap into their creative core that is present for everyone.

I am an eclectic and person-centered Psychotherapist. I bring into my work knowledge from various schools of knowledge and native traditions. I believe that despite my knowledge, it is the relationship and bonds created from helper and helpee that ultimately create the change and growth that leads to a changed life and ability to experience ALL that life has to offer, the joy and sorrows. Expressing empathy and compassion. To be A WHOLE PERSON.

More Info About My Practice

In addition to my counseling oriented approaches, I offer my clients specialized expertise in many of the more expressive modalities: Art Therapy, Jungian Sandplay, and Expressive Play Therapy with children. I love working with children and their openness to the world. As a practicing Art Therapist, I am also devoted to making my own art through the paintings I create.

My Role as a Therapist

I view my role of your therapist will be to act as a guide in your therapeutic process, a midwife of sorts, as you deeply explore yourself and present life, gaining greater insights into those aspects of your life that give you challenges. My role is to create the safe, container you need as we share together. This relationship bond is crucial, as this vulnerable relationship is the vehicle for change. In this role, I offer my authentic presence, compassion, and empathy as well as wisdom gained from living my life. I bring forth that wisdom into every creative encounter.

I will hold space for you, bringing forth compassion and knowledge gained from my own life experience and education received, pulling from various therapeutic models and traditions.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

I believe living one's life with honesty and integrity is essential in any relationship. I highly value a mindfulness approach to living life, working on letting go of attachments and living life with kindness. Honesty and living one's words are highly important me; the building blocks of any healthy relationship. I live by the 'four agreements" to always do your best, don't take things personally, don't make assumptions, and to be impeccable with your word, principles I try to live by! As well as always tell the truth, be kind with what you say, say only what's necessary, and to do no harm. Self-reflection is key to the way I live my life, making amends to those I may have harmed in any way!
