My Approach to Helping
Debbie Parker is a Resident in Counseling with over 20 years of experience. She has a passion for working with families and children experiencing the effects of trauma. Debbie's specialties include posttraumatic stress (PTSD), relationship building, anger management in adolescents, and more. Debbie completed her Master's degree in Counseling and Human Relations at Liberty University. In 2020, she began a Master's degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to become a licensed professional counselor in Virginia. She graduated in December of 2022 and has since been approved as a Resident in Counseling. She has completed The Gottman Method Level 1 Training and utilizes Motivational Interviewing (MI). Debbie's approach to counseling is eclectic because she understands that everyone has their own distinct needs. Debbie lives in a space of gratitude and positivity and hopes to share her experience and expertise with you. She looks forward to beginning sessions with you and/or your loved ones.
