My Approach to Helping
Having a baby is super stressful. You're feeling anxious, depressed, and overwhelmed trying to become a mom or be the perfect mom. It's feels like forever since you felt like yourself and you're so tired of feeling tired. You've so many worries you don't even know where to begin, and that's okay. I help new mamas, mamas-to-be, and those trying to become mamas work though these feelings and get back to feeling like themselves again. It's the focus and heart of my practice.
As a mother myself, I know from my own experience that having a baby and the steps to get there, can be the most stressful, profound, and life changing experiences ever. I also know that, while pregnancy and birth are celebrated, the before and after often go unnoticed by others. The road to conception can have many emotionally and physically difficult challenges including infertility and loss. After pregnancy, many women feel overwhelmed, lonely, disappointed, sad, guilty, and angry. Nobody asks how you're feeling anymore once the baby arrives. If you're one of these women, you are not alone.
I help women learn to let go of unrealistic expectations of yourself and motherhood, let go of guilt and shame, find ways and time for self-care, and teach ways to create more balance in your life. I'll help you spark joy in your life and find your way back to feeling like yourself once again.
