More Info About My Practice
I have a psychodynamic philosophy, but use an eclectic approach with clients based upon their needs and goals. I am available for brief targeted counseling, or going psychotherapy. I have experience with grief and loss, trauma recovery, substance abuse recovery, caregiver support, and parenting challenges and concerns.
I am happy to assist you with filing for insurance reimbursement, but do not accept insurance at this time. As a private pay client you have far greater control over your therapeutic process, how long and how often we meet, and for how many sessions. This is most often a valuable benefit for my clients.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Grappling with your struggle alone can feel overwhelming, and increase symptoms of your discomfort and anxiety. Psychotherapy is a supportive, nonjudgmental relationship between you and a clinician that uncovers your challenges, fears, self-limiting behaviors, and vulnerabilities. Together we can work to support your efforts towards recovery; positive, successful relationships; and achieving personal or career goals.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Everyone needs support throughout their life. Who provides it, and how successful it is depends on a lot of factors. We may find ourselves in a moment of need, of loss, or feeling lost; desperate to find the answers to the patterns that cause us distress in our lives. Reaching out for help is an act of courage, hope, and self love, even in our darkest moment.
