My Approach to Helping
Welcome! I provide therapy to adults and children (ages 4 and up). We are not meant to deal with the difficulties of life alone. Therapy provides a place to feel heard and understood. It can offer a fresh perspective and help you find solutions.
CHILD THERAPY: As a Registered Play Therapist, I have received extensive specialized training, education, and experience specific to play therapy, which I use in my work with children. I also provide parenting support and parent-child therapy. Play Therapy helps children express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences through therapeutic activities, and practice healthy coping skills. Some of the areas Play Therapy can address is: worry, stress, anxiety, fears, sadness, grief, low self-esteem, social skills, life changes, nightmares, trauma, and behavioral concerns.
ADULT THERAPY: I personalize therapy for each client, which means you can expect me to get to know you, your concerns, your needs, and your hopes for your life. I believe that when a person feels safe, accepted, and emotionally supported that healing can begin. My style is warm, gentle, encouraging, and collaborative. Some of the areas I work with include: anxiety, worries, stress, depression, grief, low self-esteem, negative thoughts, communication skills, parenting, and adjusting to challenges or changes in life.
