My Approach to Helping
I believe that we all have the ability to heal and face the challenges we encounter. It may be difficult at first, but we each bring strengths to therapy. Working together, we can bring insight and skills to so that you go forward with tools to help you in your daily life.
We meet in a calm and peaceful office in a wooded area. Our time is spent in the office to learn various skills and tools. We reconnect with ourselves. We can also use Equine Assisted Therapy, if you choose to do so. This can be extremely effective way for clients who suffer from depression, anxiety, anger, and other relational issues to process their emotions.
The goal is to gain skills and knowledge of your situation, gain tools to assist you in going forward with your life, whether it in office or with the assistance of our horse herd.
More Info About My Practice
I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy, as well as Solution -Focused Therapy in the work I do with people seeking to better their lives. Looking at our own thinking and actions, and realizing the connection, helps us become more aware of what we are able to change. We are not always aware of our own patterns and actions. Starting to become aware, and figuring out what we are wanting to change is helpful to the therapy process. I have worked with many individuals that have faced difficulties with depression, anxiety, grief and other issues in the last 25 years.
I am bilingual, speaking Spanish. I have facilitated therapy in Spanish for the last 25 years.
