My Approach to Helping
I am comitted to helping people move past emotional road blocks; such as anger, resentments, fear and relationship chalenages. Sometimes our feelings and emotions are very obivious. Ocassaionally, we don't have a clue as to why we act the way we do. Ths is when a trained professional can help.
When you see me for your first appointment, I laser focus on your needs by doing an in-depth evaluation and together we will develop a plan for further treatment.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
In my opinion, psychotherapy can help by giving you the opportionity to about your problems with a neutral person. As a therapist I care about how you are able to express your needs to others; however, I do not have a vested interest in the outcome of this, which friends or family might have. Often during therapy, I may question the approach you desire to take solely for the purpose of exploring alternative solutions and possible outcomes. Once you have this added persecptive you are free to choose which ever approach appeals to you. Together we may role play how to respond to friends and loved ones critics of your words or actions. This helps you to develop skills in how to relate your needs and defend your wishes with others. over time your confidence in yourself can grow and allow you to use your new skills in other areas of your life.
