My Approach to Helping
Life is hard. Sometimes our emotions are overwhelming. Depression, anger, sadness, and anxiety can leave us feeling stuck, and can interfere with our ability to enjoy life. Difficulty managing these feelings can lead to maladaptive behaviors that can overtake our lives. Avoidant patterns can emerge such as emotional eating, drugs, alcohol, compulsive computer gaming, chronic surfing, and shopping. Sometimes we get stuck in unhealthy relationships and can have difficulty getting our needs met.
Psychotherapy increases your awareness about why you do what you and with that awareness, comes the possibility for change. I offer warm, compassionate, honest support and I will give you feedback about how you undermine or limit yourself.
