My Approach to Helping
Sometimes life just sucks and when it happens we can feel alone, misunderstood, and stuck. It’s easy to feel embarrassed by the circumstances we find ourselves in which make it even more difficult to reach out and ask for help. Kudos to you for starting out on this journey!
I believe people are the expert of their own lives and the role of a therapist is to help them use this expertise to overcome challenges and reach their goals. I keep my sessions casual and frequently use humor. People generally tell me it doesn’t feel like therapy and meeting with me isn’t as bad as they thought it would be.
