At DC Talk Therapy, our 11 therapists have decades of experience working with young adults (20s and 30s). We offer individual counseling, couples counseling and group therapy. Barbara Donesky, LICSW, was recently voted as one of the three best marriage counselors in Washington, D.C.
Since we opened our practice in 2012, we've helped more than 1,000 people live happier and more fulfilling lives. Our therapists primarily use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in treating clients. CBT focuses on modifying maladaptive or distorted thoughts about ourselves or the rest of the world as a way to change resulting feelings and behavior.
Our therapists believe that psychotherapy can be tremendously rewarding, even life-changing. We see therapy as very much a collaborative process, so we ask clients for feedback throughout the process. We want the client's experience to be as valuable as possible.
We know people lead busy lives so we offer early morning, evening and Saturday appointments. Our office staff answers the phone live Monday through Friday 9-5 and they can often schedule you an appointment within three business days.
