My Approach to Helping
I provide a safe and non-judgmental environment to allow people to comfortably express and process their thoughts and feelings. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort between the client and their therapist to work towards a goal. It is also a way for someone to explore why they may be feeling or thinking a certain way, which, in turn, can help them learn more about themselves and make positive life changes.
I work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed with depression, anxiety, daily stress, and those going through challenging life transitions. I encourage children and adolescents to express their thoughts and feelings and help them develop positive coping skills. We can also address study skills, organization, and peer interactions. For families, we can deal with conflict resolution and constructive communication to help improve relationships.
