I provide tailored plans of care for each client, based upon their individual goals and priorities. These plans may include talk therapy, skill-building using a variety of behavioral techniques, mindfulness, creative art-based therapy, and motivational techniques to help you explore the changes that matter most to you. I specialize in helping my clients build confidence through assertive communication, and utilizing practical mindfulness techniques to help you feel more in touch with yourself, and able to manage crises and extreme emotions.
I realize that in this world where we often feel more than our fair share of fear and anxiety, sometimes you just need a safe, quiet place to help make sense of it all. I'd like to provide that for you and help get you on the way to feeling like your best self.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Maybe you're still not sure about therapy. Maybe it sounds uncomfortable or intrusive, or someone you know told you about a terrible experience they had. Maybe you don't like the way the media portrays it. Or maybe you're just not sure if it would add anything to your life.
"Therapy" can be a lot of different things, and it's not one-size-fits-all. Something you find therapeutic might not even fit your definition of therapy, at all! What's important is that you find the right space, the right therapist, and the right goals that will help you feel motivated and supported, for a healthier, renewed you. It doesn't have to be intense; maybe you just need a space to decompress from your busy life, and find some simple solutions to manage stress and time. Or, maybe you're ready to start addressing some bigger issues, one little step at a time.
Every single one of us is a complex, dynamic little world unto ourselves, and no two therapy experiences are going to be the same. You don't need to wait until your life is in chaos to start sorting it out, or until you're at the end of your limits. Come on in, try it out, and if it's not for you, then at least you can say you gave it a try. Who knows, maybe it'll turn out to be something completely, wonderfully unexpected.
