My Approach to Helping
You may be looking to be heard, wanting to feel that you are understood or want to gain a better understanding of yourself. You may not even know what you are looking for but know that something is “off”. My goal is to work with you to create an individualized approach that can help you accel. It is important for you to feel heard and safe in therapy sessions. I can offer this to you using a non-judgmental approach. The choice to start going to therapy is hard and may feel vulnerable but this can bring about lasting changes that can help transform your life and move past what is holding you back.
I use a trauma-informed approach when working with people. Most people have either “Big T’s” or “Little t’s” that have impacted them and are affecting current choices, relationships, causing low self-esteem or other mood related issues. This can lead to feeling stuck and not in the drivers’ seat of your own life. Together we will create a treatment plan that is reflective of the goals that you would like to achieve and work towards them collaboratively. I work to get down to the “root cause” and address this so that you can get unstuck and move forward. Finding a therapist that is a good fit for you is paramount.
