My Approach to Helping

A life transition experience can be positive or negative, planned or unexpected. Some transitions happen without warning, and they may be quite dramatic, as in cases of accidents, death, divorce, job loss, or serious illness. Other life transitions come from positive experiences such as getting married, going away to college, starting a new job, moving to a new city. Even though events like these are usually planned and anticipated, they can be just as life-altering as the unexpected events.

Whether positive or negative, life transitions cause us to leave behind the familiar and force us to adjust to new ways of living. Life is always changing, growing and evolving. This means everyone experiences transitions in their life. And in modern life, change and growth are happening more quickly, and are often forced upon us, so that each of us will face many transitions in the course of a lifetime. Change is the fundamental nature of Life. If you don't adapt to change, or if you don't instigate necessary or desired change, you may be left in a confused and unfulfilled state. They can leave us feeling completely unprepared and we may be thrown into a personal crisis, feeling shocked, angry, sad, and withdrawn.

I want to talk about these changes in life in a way that is nonjudgmental, supportive and uncover your inner strengths to heal and grow from the transitions you are facing. Times of life transitions offer you the chance to explore what your ideal life would look like. When things are in disarray, you can reflect on the hopes and dreams you once had but perhaps forgot about.

I hope to help people explore their emotions, thoughts, early-life experiences, and beliefs to gain insight into their lives and their present-day challenges and to evaluate the patterns they have developed over time. I have professionally studied clinical psychology which has contributed to my personal growth. Through my own challenges, personal growth and therapy I have gained vast knowledge and wisdom of how to work with, let go of and grow from a variety of issues and challenges you too may be faced. I often meet with families, children and individuals to provide nurturing and supportive listening and problem-solving.
