What's My Approach to Therapy?
My name is Danielle, and I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Psychology in May 2015 and my Master of Social Work in November 2020. I became licensed as a clinical social worker in 2022, and I have worked in the behavioral health field for ten years. Throughout the course of my career, I have worked with individuals of all ages who were experiencing anything from posttraumatic stress (PTSD) to substance abuse to psychosis to depression to mood conditions, a combination of these, and more. I am a naturally empathetic and compassionate person who believes everyone can benefit from nonjudgmental support and guidance. I have always had a passion for helping others, and feel that the behavioral health field chose me as much as I chose it. I am committed to being a positive support for individuals in need and guiding them towards lasting behavioral change and healing that will enhance the quality of their lives. I founded Emerge Healing Center because our community needs as many safe spaces as possible to empower healing. Our survival behaviors and defense mechanisms often become how we identify, but I see you. I see the authentic you waiting to emerge. My practice is guided by a holistic and person-centered approach, with the use of motivational interviewing, trauma-focused techniques, cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral interventions, and eye movement desensitization reprocessing therapy (EMDR). I am certified in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and trained in EMDR.
