My Approach to Helping
Welcome all! With everything that has happened in our world in the last couple of years, it is easy to become overwhelmed in our personal and professional lives. The constant demands on us to perform at 100%, even when so much around us feels unstable, can leave us feeling stuck, saturated, or numb. It is my goal in this mental health practice to help patients regain groundedness, and develop coping skills that will assist them in creating authentic, fulfilling lives on their own terms.
I strive to provide a warm, supportive and judgment-free space that is culture affirming and trauma informed, with an understanding that you are the expert on your life. I am a gender affirming, sex-positive, body-positive, and kink friendly affirming therapist that has had extensive experience working with clients who are dealing with varying levels of depression, anxiety, and trauma. I am deeply passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing high functioning depression and anxiety, have intergenerational and/or developmental trauma, are struggling with disordered eating, or have body image and self esteem concerns.
Trying to navigate the mental health systems in our community can be daunting and confusing. We may also be dealing with doubt, from ourselves or even those around us, about whether we actually need support.
