My Approach to Helping
Seeking help is a courageous act and I admire all of my clients for taking this step. I aim to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for you to explore your concerns and issues. My style is conversational and direct, and my clients say that I am easy to talk to.
I believe that each client is unique and there is no one size fits all treatment plan when it comes to therapy. I believe that people have the power to change themselves and their lives, and I work with them to develop the skills it takes to do so. I utilize multiple therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Committment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and I believe in utilizing mindfulness and acceptance techniques.
Whether you are suffering with a mental illness, dealing with relationship problems, trying to heal from your past, or struggling with general life, work or school stress, I can help you to find concrete and actionable items to start you on a path of healing. From there we can dig into the deeper root causes or unconscious attitudes or beliefs that may be holding you back. Ultimately, it will be our working relationship that is the most important factor in creating lasing changes.
