My Approach to Helping

As a strength-based provider; I offer a culturally sensitive approach to therapy for individuals of all ages. I specialize in treating children, adolescents, transitional age adults (ages 16-24) and those that love them. My practice is collaborative which allows for the inclusion of coordination of care with your primary care physician or desired provider in the community. For those that have a challenge communicating verbally, art as therapy and play therapy can be a primary method of treatment. Evidence based practices such as family psycho education, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative, and solution-focused are as well provided when appropriate. The use of assessments measuring depression, anxiety, medical perplexity can be part of the treatment. As a first generation immigrant, I pride myself in providing dynamic culturally sensitive therapy for those that are struggling with immigration concerns, cultural barriers, and prejudice.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

observing growth,; capturing smiles which not long ago were frowns, watching confidence return after some time away; dispelling ruminating and untruthful thoughts; challenging barriers keeping our best selves in hiding..
