I provide a comfortable, nonjudgmental setting where you may safely explore the issues that are affecting you. My area of expertise involves assisting individuals with anxiety and depression, and helping them to flourish even during difficult times.

While my therapeutic approach is creative and intuitive, it is also firmly grounded in empirical evidence. Our sessions together will provide you with the chance to express yourself freely and develop effective skills to make your life more fulfilling.

Having the opportunity to tell your story is very powerful. Therapy allows you to to let go of past hurts, focus on the present, and set practical, positive goals for the future. You will also become more aware of your inherent strengths and learn how to harness them as you develop more positive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Am I the right counselor for you? My strengths include my ability to relate with empathy (to the story, the person, the struggle, and the healing). My ability to see and hear details, patterns, reasons for resistance, and true motivation for change, can assist with helping you achieve insight and lasting change. Though not useful in every situation, I encourage a sense of humor and irony, which are another way to see through the moment (fear, infidelity, depression) and move through it, maybe even with a smile.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Negative self image, self esteem, and self talk. Dealing with the voice that says we're not (yet) good enough. Depression, anxiety, relationships and life transitions.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Therapy can help lessen our isolation. Many of us feel utterly alone in our version of despair. Having a counselor helps people feel heard, face to face without distractions.

Our problems may or may not be unique however, managing all of the feelings and having to cope can be overwhelming. Whether it is with me, or elsewhere, find good therapy.
