People who come to see me are experiencing some form of suffering. The source of this suffering is usually some form of imbalance. The focus of our work together will be to identify the imbalance and work toward regaining some stability. Imbalance may come from operating on rules and ideas carried with us from childhood that may not be appropriate for us as adults. The solution to these imbalances are usually right in front of us, shown through dreams or fantasies, but we often need a therapeutic relationship to untangle the answers. I believe we all have health and wellness at our core, but it sometimes takes some help to see through the sediment of unhelpful lessons by which we currently live our lives.

More Info About My Practice

For many people, seeking a psychotherapist is an anxiety-provoking task. Please call. We can talk about your specific needs and what might work for you. I do not take insurance, but I have very reasonable rates and we can tailor them to your circumstance.

My Therapy Focus

I'll work with you as an individual who has unique needs, wishes, and desires. The strength of psychotherapy lies in the trust developed between client and therapist. I feel that trust is a sacred bond and I believe it is the basis of all progress toward healing and wellness. My 20 years of experience helping people with issues surrounding addiction, bereavement, and chronic illness will benefit you. You may have grown up in a household where you didn't feel a sense of trust and safety. You may hold yourself up to unrealistic standards, use words like 'always' or 'never' to describe yourself, and you may sometimes wonder why relationships turn out the way they do. We can work together to investigate these unhelpful ideas that keep what you want at a distance.
