My Approach to Helping

I bring a warm and reflective approach to work with people struggling with ways anxiety, depression, or trauma can make you feel stuck and lost in a negative story about your life. My clients find this process frees up energy so they can move forward in life. I attend closely to your process and reflect back to you what works so you can deepen your sense of empowerment, self-trust, and calm when moving through life challenges. Please get in touch for a free 15-20 minute consultation to determine if we are a good fit to work together.

More Info About My Practice

I've worked in community mental health and private practice since 2015. I bring extensive experience with somatic approaches to trauma, depression, and anxiety, as well as experience with substance misuse, ADHD, attachment struggles, and creative blocks.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I'm skilled at working with shame, fear, grief, and other difficult emotions related to negative experiences and trauma. I use a somatic (body-awareness based) approach. Together, we support you to practice noticing what sensations, memories, and feelings reside in your body. When you bring compassionate attention to your body sensations and feelings, you may experience greater clarity about what you want and need. I support people to work with regulating their nervous systems. Noticing when you are in a "fight, flight, freeze" response is the first step to grounding yourself and determining what makes you feel safe. Though I bring a range of tools to this approach, your process is unique and I support you to enhance that.
