More Info About My Practice

I have a general practice, however, I specialize in the treatment of adults, couples and families regarding issues of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, work stress, coping with change.

I greatly enjoy working with adults over the age of 65 and people with chronic health conditions. In-home counseling works particularly these populations. I do travel to senior retirement communities.

Ever tried Walk and Talk Therapy? Together, we will walk around your neighborhood or nearby park while we meet for counseling. Scientists have shown that the bi-lateral stimulation of the brain involved with walking assists in the processing of feelings, thoughts and emotions. It enhances the therapy and you get your exercise at the same time!

Evening and weekend appointments available for busy schedules.

Insurance: I do not accept insurance, however, I can provide you with a superbill that can be submitted to your insurance company for direct reimbursement.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am particularly skilled at helping people who are anxious, depressed, in recovery from substance abuse or in various phases of transition or change. If you are feeling overwhelmed, I can help you learn to cope better with your circumstances, explore alternatives and help you decide on a path that's comfortable for you.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy allows you to discuss your area of concern in confidence with a trained therapist who is non-judgmental and has no vested interest in anything except your wellbeing. Unfortunately, that's not always possible to do with friends and family members. Therapy may provide relief from what's bothering you, or it can help you cope more effectively with what's on your plate. Psychotherapy can provide insight and help you see life and your particular challenges from a different perspective, You will learn new coping and communication skills, and improve the quality of your relationships.
