My Approach to Helping
As a general practitioner, I see clients seeking Couples Therapy, as well as, individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and anger. I specialize in working with clients in crisis who need immediate intervention. As a staff, Seasons Counseling also specializes in Life Transitions.
Seasons Counseling offers a safe place to be heard and known and to begin taking steps toward insight, healing and transformation in your life and relationships. Even in the midst of difficult circumstances, I believe the decision to begin therapy at Seasons Counseling Orlando is a choice for change, abundant life and hope!
I believe we are all on a journey to become our most authentic selves. Every person has a story to tell, and in the telling there can be healing, hope, and transformation. I treat every client with the dignity and respect they deserve, while honoring the courage it takes to tell their stories. Understanding that entering therapy can be intimidating, I seek to build a counseling relationship built on a foundation of trust. As such, I hope to create a safe and supportive place to explore yourself and your relationships to others.
More Info About My Practice
I enjoy counseling and helping others which is why I also choose to reach out to my community as a professional speaker. I have been fortunate enough to have several opportunities in my local area and connect with schools and organizations to introduce the idea of counseling and its surrounding topics. I have lead several seminars and presentations discussing a variety of topics such as, but not limited to, relationships, communication, boundaries, parenting, conflict resolution, personality, neuropsychotherapy, understanding the brain and behavior as well as general mental health. Being able to share my knowledge and expertise to connect and inspire hope in others is a passion of mine. I am happy to work with any organization that would be interested in what I could offer them as a professional speaker.
Alongside counseling and speaking, I am also a qualified supervisor for those seeking licensure within the field of counseling. Guiding new counselors to find themselves in their careers is a privilege to me. I strive to benefit up and coming counselors by providing them with tools, advice, knowledge and experience. I appreciate the chance to support registered interns and delight in seeing them grow personally and professionally.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I have a passion for seeing individuals, couples, and families find healing and hope. It brings me great joy to walk beside someone as they explore their stories and discover their most authentic selves in the process. Many times we do not realize the extent that our past continues to impact our present. While we cannot change the past, we can walk together towards insight, resolution, and healing. These are the moments that make me most passionate about being a counselor and working with you.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
No matter what experiences may have led you to seek therapy, you can expect to be treated with dignity and understanding. My own story of self-exploration, awareness, and emotional healing allows me to offer hope for change with empathy, compassion, and respect.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Going to therapy does not mean a person is weak or flawed! In fact, it actually shows that you have great courage to move towards a more healthy way of being. Knowing that the step to seek therapy can be a leap of faith, I enter into each therapeutic relationship with empathy and respect. Therapy can provide you with tools, strategies, and insight to help you on your journey towards health and healing.
