My Approach to Helping
As a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed Therapist, I honor the wounds of your past and help you make space for healing. Therapy can be a place where you can unpack and deconstruct unhealthy thinking patterns. It can also be a place of comfort, security, and growth. My goal is to provide you with the empathy and connection needed to process whatever you may be dealing with. I validate, support, and sometimes challenge my clients.
As part of a collaborative relationship, we will work towards exploring the thoughts and feelings through a mindful approach. I work from a Dialectical Behavioral approach and integrate other theoretical approaches such as person-centered and Cognitive Behavioral therapy. I help you bring awareness to the underlying issues affecting your current state of functioning.
