My Approach to Helping
Therapy can be an opportunity for individuals to grow, understand themselves better and find an overall balance in life. I believe that all individuals are resilient, capable of healing, and can overcome difficult periods in their lives. As a therapist, I provide my clients with a safe, nurturing environment while working to explore with them, challenge and guide them to gain insight, improve coping skills and ultimately, create change.
I practice mostly from a psychodynamic orientation, but can offer an integrative approach tailored to my client's individuals needs. Through a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship, I will work with my clients to help them through whatever struggles they may be facing and to make long-lasting, positive changes to become their best selves.
I have extensive training and experience working with adults, adolescents, children and families who are dealing with depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, attachment issues, and loss and grief. I also have a special interest in multiculturalism and chronic illness. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals!
