My Approach to Helping
I use a respectful, non-judgmental approach in helping individuals find solutions to many of life's challenges, including: relationships, communication, anxiety, self worth, chronic pain, somatization, intimacy, sex, and sexuality. I am an EMDR trained clinician, and offer weekly EMDR sessions, intensive programs, as well as adjunct EMDR with your primary talk therapist.
Please note that I include a therapy dog in my in person sessions. Taz was rescued from Central Coast Pug Rescue in 2015. He became a registered therapy animal in 2016 and passes on his good fortune by helping others. A true gentle soul, Taz loves to cuddle and be pet.
More Info About My Practice
I offer remote Telehealth sessions within the states of California and Arizona, as well as occasional in person sessions if desired. Telehealth, video or phone sessions, allow for easy accessibility and convenience for many folks. My standard fee for a 50-minute therapeutic hour is $245, and $365 for 80-minutes, which can be paid by cash or check.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I am adept in helping people be open to experience more satisfying relationships and positive communication. I have been a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) for the past 13 years. I am kink affirming and knowledgable, LGBTQsexual and gender minority inclusive, and a sex positive provider.
As an EMDR trained clinician, I help folks process anxiety, fear, trauma, and limiting beliefs.
I also focus on chronic pain issues, chronic illness, and how emotional pain can increase (or even cause) physical symptoms.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Do some research, and give it a shot. Keep in mind that therapy is a process, and a good relationship with your therapist is essential. It is important to feel safe and comfortable with the person you choose. I offer free consultation with potential clients over the phone.
