My Approach to Helping
I specialize in ages 18 to 35 and am familiar and open to the unique challenges and high anxiety this life phase can bring. From major life transitions including starting college or new careers to relationships and marriages, I have the experience to sit with you through your worries and fears and teach you techniques that you can take with you through life. This life phase can also present scary addictions from video games to substance or alcohol use and beyond. I have extended training in helping identify and navigate what addiction and recovery might look like, in a safe and accepting atmosphere.
Using proven techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, as well as strength-based interventions, I am able to accommodate common as well as unique issues. Progress is my goal while always observing my clients' valued time and money. I am also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help with processing trauma.
